American Idol celebrated the close of season 12 on Fox last night. The series came to an end with Candice Glover the victor of the competition. Glover won the Idol crown after a tense Wednesday night sing off against finalist Kree Harrison.
The ladies performed three songs each with judges Randy, Nicki, Mariah and Keith hard-pressed to predict a winner.
Jackson urged fans to vote for one of the two while Keith called both Harrison and Glover both “soul singers.” At the start of the Wednesday night episode Candice was chosen to sing “Chasing Pavements” by artist Adele. The show’s producer Simon Fuller selected the song for Glover and she tackled it with confidence. The rumor mill still continues to churn in regards to a possible engagement between the recently divorced Jennifer Lopez and her dancer and choreographer Casper Smart. Addressing the media’s speculations once again, Lopez told Matt Lauer of Today just recently that she isn’t sure about the possibility of marrying Smart. “I don’t know… we’ll see. It’s not time to thank about that, do you know what I mean? It’s still fresh.” 
Its only been a couple of weeks since American Idol found its latest winner in that of Philip Phillips and now the hunt continues for the newest star with auditions for season 12 underway. Recently the well known faces of Idol, that includes Judges Randy Jackson, Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez, as well host Ryan Seacrest, made their first stop in Los Angeles, California at Dodgers Stadium.

The much talked about Jennifer Lopez, American Idol situation has exploded across the web. The big question – will JLo stay for another season of the singing competition or will she go? According to Lopez she just isn’t sure about what she plans to do when it comes to renewing her contract. “I just don’t know. I don’t know,” she told Ellen DeGeneres last week. Some are calling Lopez’s stall tactics just another way of earning her a bigger payout or could it be that she is just too busy launching her own reality show with boyfriend Casper Smart.
