It’s the American Idol final this week, and it’s the first time I can say I don’t know who will be eliminated in a while. For the past few episodes, Hollie Cavanaugh bamboozled me by seeming to be the weakest singer left in the competition, and being the obvious choice to leave. She took shelter at the basement of American Idol Season 11 Betting Lines, only to survive elimination and live another day.
Every week I thought she would be gone, only to see favorites like Skylar Laine and Colton Dixon get the boot instead. Continue reading

Listen, I have nothing against Hollie Cavanaugh, but Christ that took a long time to get her off the show. I think she’s fine. Good singer. But she wasn’t going to win the show and I’m amazed how long she lasted. She had a “George Castanza’s parents” vibe, where unusual circumstances kept her lingering around for longer than needed.

America’s Got Talent seems to be moving right along without him and may actually be more popular than ever with the announcement that Howard Stern will be judging Season 7 this summer. Roshon Fegan and Melissa Gilbert got the axe after a difficult double-dance episode of Dancing With The Stars in which contestants were asked to do a traditional number, then drive it home with a Latin Number. Jaleel White finally didn’t do that.
The former “Family Matters” star was unable to beat Disney star Roshon Fegan in a Rumba battle Tuesday night and was eliminated from Dancing With The Stars. White was a 12/1 favorite to win the show yesterday in Bovada’s Dancing With The Stars Betting Odds.
White and Fegan received the fewest votes after Monday’s show and were subjected to a dance battle in front of the judges. Side-by-side, they thought Fegan was better than White. Continue reading

Elise Testone received the fewest fan votes, and became the eighth finalist eliminated on Season 11 of American Idol.
“American Idol means living out my dreams. My favorite part about my journey is my connections with the other contestants. These are people I may have never met, but I’m so glad I did.
