A new list of the possible celebrity contestants to compete in Dancing with the Stars season 15 has been released following an amazing 14th season win by NFL star Donald Driver. Who made the cut? American choreographer, musician and actor, Derek Hough, has come out on top as the most likely to win, with new Dancing With The Stars Season betting odds of +450. As fans will remember, Hough has been delivering strong performances on the series since 2007 and is the only contestant to be named the three time champion. Continue reading
In an unsurprising win Georgia singer Phillip Phillips conquered all last night, becoming the eleventh season American Idol winner during an emotional live finale that showcased the results and several seasoned artists all on board to celebrate. Although it doesn’t come as a shock that Phillips prevailed after leading in the American Idol betting odds with a line paying out at 4/13, there was still a chance for Jessica Sanchez (5/2) to turn her fate around. Continue reading
The much talked about Jennifer Lopez, American Idol situation has exploded across the web. The big question – will JLo stay for another season of the singing competition or will she go? According to Lopez she just isn’t sure about what she plans to do when it comes to renewing her contract. “I just don’t know. I don’t know,” she told Ellen DeGeneres last week. Some are calling Lopez’s stall tactics just another way of earning her a bigger payout or could it be that she is just too busy launching her own reality show with boyfriend Casper Smart. The final results for the winner of American Idol’s season 11 will air this week on May 23rd. Bovada Sportsbook is currently favoring Phillip Phillips for this year’s title at 4/13 on their American Idol Betting Odds. Jessica Sanchez comes in at 5/2.
After working for the last year on the series both singers are saying whatever happens, happens, when it comes down to the final numbers. “We’ve made it this far. Were still in the competition, and we’re still going to do our best. But whatever happens, happens,” Sanchez said of the finale. Phillips also agreed, “Yeah, whatever happens, happens. It’s not the end of the world. I’m not going to be depressed if I don’t win or anything. It’s all fun and games.” Continue reading
ABC’s Dancing with the Stars is gearing up to end an entertaining and explosive season this week. Tonight, in the May 21st episode, the competition comes down to just three remaining couples, actor William Levy and his partner Cheryl Burke, singer Katherine Jenkins and Mark Ballas, as well as pro athlete Donald Driver and Peta Murgatroyd. Quite a divided house we had on Dancing With The Stars last night, no? Maria Menounos was adored by judges for her two dances on Tuesday, yet fell short in the audience vote and was eliminated during Wednesday’s telecast.
She finished fourth, leaving just a trio of competitors remaining for next week’s finale where we will finally crown a winner. And it’s between the three who have been favored all along: Donald Driver, Katherine Jenkins and William Levy. Continue reading
It’s the American Idol final this week, and it’s the first time I can say I don’t know who will be eliminated in a while. For the past few episodes, Hollie Cavanaugh bamboozled me by seeming to be the weakest singer left in the competition, and being the obvious choice to leave. She took shelter at the basement of American Idol Season 11 Betting Lines, only to survive elimination and live another day.
Every week I thought she would be gone, only to see favorites like Skylar Laine and Colton Dixon get the boot instead. Continue reading
After a truly difficult double elimination last week, just four dancers remain in ABC’s Dancing With The Stars competition. The show returns tonight for the semifinals episode, just one week out from the finale.
The couples will again be doing a pair of dances to keep their hopes alive – first a Latin number and then a traditional ballroom dance afterwards. Continue reading
Listen, I have nothing against Hollie Cavanaugh, but Christ that took a long time to get her off the show. I think she’s fine. Good singer. But she wasn’t going to win the show and I’m amazed how long she lasted. She had a “George Castanza’s parents” vibe, where unusual circumstances kept her lingering around for longer than needed.
She finally became a casualty this week, voted off in the semifinals to leave just three remaining. Continue reading
Piers Morgan doesn’t seem to be missed that much.
America’s Got Talent seems to be moving right along without him and may actually be more popular than ever with the announcement that Howard Stern will be judging Season 7 this summer. The shock jock host who proclaimed he was built to judge reality competitions, signed a $15 million deal to become the panel’s third judge, triple the salary for Morgan last year. Continue reading
